Frontiertown Campground, Ocean City, MD

In August I decided to take one of my grandsons (Robbie) on a camping trip to a campground located on the DelMarVa(Delaware, Maryland, Virginia) Peninsula which is bounded by Chesapeake Bay on the west and the Atlantic Ocean on the east. The DelMarVa is a great destination because of its access to the Atlantic beaches of Ocean City, Assateague, Chincoteague, Rehoboth and Bethany to name a few.

Frontiertown is a family campground that has quite a few attractions for children and, as the name implies, is based upon a "Western" theme. Their attractions include a Water Park, Mini-Golf, Western Theme Park (with Cowboy gunfights and an Old West town) and a Kiddie Amusement park (which is great for the little ones).

Of course we had a whole day at the Waterpark and also spent part of a day in one of the well kept and spacious swimming pools. Robbie is a water bug and it was difficult keeping him out of the water but since the weather was fairly warm we could not have been in a cooler place. Click here for Frontiertown
